Are you right for Odie?

4-year-old Odie is a super cute boy who is looking for a home with a single person who is experienced with dogs and the Frenchie breed. He can often be quite mouthy when he gets over-excited, so he will need an understanding human who is willing to work on this with him. Much of his recent stress came from being in a kennels, but since Odie has been in a foster home he has shown himself to be much more chilled, so we are hopeful that this will get better with time and patience. Odie enjoys his walks, likes seeing other dogs when he is out, and likes to make new doggy friends. He would not like to live with another dog though, since both his human and his toys are very precious to him and he does not like to share! His new home will need to be quiet, with minimal to no visitors, as he would like to keep all the attention for himself. Odie is on long term medication and will have to have regular vet visits, (which he has not been keen on), but with happy vet visits he is getting much better and he is fully muzzle trained to ensure everyone's safety. If the cost of medication is a barrier for rehoming, please let us know. Odie is a friendly lad who builds extraordinarily strong bonds with his favourite humans, and a potential adopter will need to make multiple visits to the centre to get to know him and his little quirks before taking him home. Our training team will be on hand throughout the adoption process and beyond, to give you help and guidance before he goes home and after. We would prefer for Odie to have a garden as he can be energetic at times and absolutely loves to play, so it would be great for him to have a nice outlet.

Is Odie right for you?

Odie is a typical Frenchie who fans of the breed will just adore. He can be super playful at times, but he can also be very lazy. This cheeky chap is happiest when playing ‘hide and seek' under blankets, and can disguise himself as a couch potato! This little cuddle monster will be in his element in a calm home environment, where he can chill and relax. Like most Frenchies, he is super foodie and will do anything for a treat. This makes training a breeze, and he is always keen to learn new tricks for a tasty snack (which is also why he is on a doggy weight watchers food plan). Since being in his new foster home he has been the perfect house guest, and is fully house-trained, cuddly, and just a lovely little boy. Odie can be left for short periods, however this will need to be built up slowly in his new home. Due to his health issues, he will need to be lifted or use a ramp to get into the car, but he travels well and enjoys going for trips out to explore and stick his little face in everything! Odie is a lovely lad who will be a fun, loyal and loving friend to have around. Love, understanding and some respect of his boundaries will be rewarded. His human best friend here Josh says he is his absolute favourite dog (which is saying something as we have a few!), he just needs someone patient to give him a chance to be the best boy he can be. Could you be the one he has been waiting for?
