Are you right for Nova?

Nova is a delightful 1 year old American Bulldog looking for a family with lots of love and energy. She is a friendly girl who is excited to meet new people and can sometimes show this by jumping up initially, she soon calms down but would benefit from learning some alternative behaviours for when she is excited. She could join a home with children aged 8 and over who are confident around big bouncy dogs. Nova would like to be the only dog in the home, but can have dog friends on walks, providing they are comfortable with her play style as she can get overexcited when playing. Nova is worried by being left currently and will need someone around the majority of the time with her initially, leaving hours will need to be gradually introduced at a pace she is comfortable with once settled. Nova would benefit from a garden or outside area to play in to burn off some energy.

Is Nova right for you?

Nova is a lovely girl who came into our care through no fault of her own. We have found her to be a friendly, excitable youngster who enjoys her walks and having cuddles. She LOVES people and regularly enjoys going on walks with our volunteers. She can be a little worried around loud noises so may need reassurance to help learn they aren't as scary as they sound. Nova was housetrained previously and knows "sit" and "paw", she is a clever girl who is keen to learn new things - especially if snacks are involved!
