Are you right for Hobbs?

Hobbs is a gorgeous 2-year-6-month-old St Bernard with the kind of gentle nature that makes you instantly relax around him. He’s a very friendly, calm boy who loves people and will happily wander over for pets. In the home, Hobbs is easy company: he’ll follow you about for a bit, then settle nearby while you work, often choosing to sit right on your feet for some quiet attention. Hobbs loves being brushed, standing patiently while you groom him. He’s polite around food, takes treats gently, and while he might give a small huff if told he can’t share your dinner, he accepts it and settles. He enjoys his walks, especially woodland and nature spots where he can have a good sniff and explore at his own pace. He generally walks on a loose lead heading out, with a little more enthusiasm on the way back, and he does best with shorter strolls. Hobbs travels quietly in the car too: he’ll clamber in (a bit clumsily, as you’d expect!) then lie down and watch the world go by. Hobbs is clean in the house, toilets reliably outside, and sleeps settled overnight. He’s looking for a home with secondary school-aged children, a private garden, and he would prefer to be the only pet so he can fully relax and soak up all the love. He can, however, enjoy on-lead walks with polite dogs. If you’re after a big, soft, affectionate companion who’s gentle without being boisterous, Hobbs could be the one. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.
