Batman

Are you right for Batman?

Batman can live with teenagers but needs to be the only pet at home as he is a very nervous boy. He may not be fully housetrained and will require all his basic training so please be patient with him.

Is Batman right for you?

Batman is a young chap who arrived in our care with his mum and a new litter of siblings! He hasn't seen much of the world and is rather overwhelmed but we're working on building his confidence and his new family will need to be prepared to keep this up. He is ball mad and the Collie side of him takes over when it comes to play, getting low and waiting for us to throw the ball for him so he can bring it back. Batman can be unsure of new people and doesn't like to be surprised but if he knows you're there he's less worried about you approaching. he has a curious nature and he can't resist checking you out, but we're working on a hands off approach until we know he's fully comfortable with someone. He has been reactive to other dogs but he hasn't been used to seeing any before he came to us and it's a little much for him. When he's close he will have an introductory sniff and then interact but he is very nervous. Any dogs he meets after adoption must be calm and safe for him to say hello to in order to help build his confidence and social skills. Batman has so much potential with a loving family that won't expect too much of him too soon, he's doing the best he can.
