Are you right for Dot?

Dot is looking for a fun and active home where her new family are keen to go exploring on lots of fun adventures! Dot can be a little bit conflicted when meeting new people, so she would need any children in the home to be 16 years or older, and have minimal visitors to the house to ensure she feels comfortable. Dot will need to be the only dog in the home, and also cannot live with cats or small furries. Ideally, her new home will be in a quiet location, so she can enjoy walkies without bumping in to too many dogs or people. Dot is a super clever girl, already knowing multiple tricks and always eager to learn more. She isn’t fussy when it comes to food and treats, which really helps when reinforcing her training. Dot loves exploring outside, choosing to walk slowly on the lead with her nose to the ground, although she can be very strong if she spots some wildlife! When it comes to leaving, Dot is very laid back, opting to settle nicely on the sofa whilst waiting for her handler to return, so she can be left up to four hours in her new home once she is settled, providing this is built up gradually with positive reinforcement. Dot will need a home with her own private and secure garden so she can zoom around with her toys, and the fences will need to be 6ft or higher as she can jump quite high! She will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home and may need a home trial to make sure she transitions smoothly into her new home. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes 7-10 days, but this can be longer depending on the needs of the dog.!

Is Dot right for you?

Delightful Dot is a 2 and half year old Staff cross who is a barrel of fun! She will bring so much joy to her new family’s life, and we promise there will never be a dull moment with this girl around. Dot is a playful, active girl who loves her soft toys, although she will happily play with pretty much anything, both on her own and with her handlers. Although she is wary of strangers and other dogs, Dot is dream, and we hope her new family come along and fall in love with her just like all the staff here at the centre have! Do you have a Dot shaped space on your sofa?
