Are you right for Jimmy?

Jimmy is looking for a quiet, understanding household where he can take things at his own pace. He would be best matched to a peaceful household, with resident children aged 14+ and no young visitors. He needs a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads or loud surroundings. Jimmy's new owners will be able to offer patience, gentle guidance, and consistent training to help him build trust and confidence. He may take time to warm up as he can be very worried by new people, but once he feels secure, you’ll begin to see his playful, affectionate side shine through. He would do best in a calm environment with minimal visitors, ideally with experienced and patient dog owners who can read his cues and provide the reassurance he needs. A secure garden would be a bonus, giving him a safe space to explore without pressure. Jimmy can struggle with close handling so benefits from introductions where he can be left to approach first and the use of tasty treats helps too! He finds comfort in his crate and can be left alone for up to 4 hours once he has built up being comfortable in the home.

Is Jimmy right for you?

Jimmy is a 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart full of love and a mind still learning to feel safe in the world. Life has been a bit overwhelming for this little guy, and as a result, he can be quite nervous in new situations. As Jimmy needs time to build relationships with people, his potential adopters would be required to come and meet him several times before taking him home so ideally live locally or willing to make the journey on several occasions. If you can offer Jimmy the safe, loving, and quiet home he so deserves, please get in touch.
