Are you right for Mama Yam?

Meet Mama Yam, an adorable 3-year-old Spaniel cross who’s looking for a special home. She came to us from a challenging background, having been part of a welfare hoarding situation. Mama Yam is a shy girl who needs a patient, understanding home to help her explore the world at her own pace, once she knows you she will show you her cheeky/fun side. She hasn’t had much experience with the outside world or other dogs, so she’s best suited as the only pet in a quiet home. With time and gentle socialisation, she can learn to feel comfortable around new dogs and people. Ideally, Mama Yam's new family will have older children (11 years and up) who are calm and sensible. She will need someone around initially as she adjusts, gradually building her confidence to stay alone for a couple of hours.

Is Mama Yam right for you?

Mama Yam isn't used to walks yet, so a secure garden with a 6ft fence would be perfect for her to explore safely. She is not house trained and also will need guidance with harness training and being socialised to the big outdoors. Our Behaviour Team is ready to offer support to ensure her success in these areas. If you can offer Mama Yam the love, patience, and support she needs, she could be the perfect addition to your family.
