Are you right for Gallo?

Gallo is looking for a home where he will be the only pet, with adopters who are ready to take on this sweetheart! He sometimes forgets his size so would be best suited to children aged 12+, although we are open to lowering this age pending successful meets here at the centre. Typical to his breed, Gallo does have a prey drive and needs to be walked on a lead and muzzled. Despite this, he loves to have opportunities to run in secure, off-lead paddocks where he practices his great recall! Gallo can struggle around other dogs, particularly when resources are involved so he is best suited to an only-dog home, although with careful introductions he could benefit from some walking friends. A private garden is essential for Gallo, so he has an area of his own to relax and potter off-lead. Gallo can struggle being left initially, so any adopters would need to build any leaving hours up very slowly over time. Despite Gallo's energetic nature, at home he is described as a classic couch-loving hound who enjoys snoozing and snuggling the day away.

Is Gallo right for you?

Gallo is a 4.5-year-old Labrador x Lurcher searching for a sofa to call his own! This energetic boy is a bundle of fun and joy, he loves meeting new people and also enjoys going on adventures with his favourite people. Gallo really thrives when his mind is kept occupied, he is very responsive to training and is keen to learn and please. Cheeky.. but obedient, Gallo uses his adorable looks to melt the hearts of everyone he meets!
