Are you right for Angelica?

Angelica can live with other pets and children of high school age. She has come from a hoarding situation and is unlikely to be house trained. She's going to need all her basic training, and patience and kindness.

Is Angelica right for you?

Eight-year-old Angelica is a real sweetheart who is looking for a kind and patient family who can show her what normal life is for a dog. She has come from rather an extraordinary situation and needs love and stability. Her confidence is coming along greatly but she does have a way to go yet, but she is already walking on a collar and lead, something she's never done in her life. We feel Angelica would make great strides if she had another dog to live with. She is rather bonded with her friend Susie and could live with her, or another dog that is already in your home. Angelica has never known a life without other dogs. She's understandably still nervous about being handled but she tolerated being completely shaved off like an absolute trooper and her relief and being able to move freely again was obvious. A slow and steady approach with lots of praise is definitely the way forward for this lovely girl, with no big surprises. we've seen her begin to play and she's fond of a tennis ball, and we're so thrilled to be able to find her a loving new family to help her forget her less than ideal past.
