Are you right for Betty?

Betty can live with dogs, cats and children of high school age. She has come from a hoarding situation and is getting used to being house trained. She's going to need all her basic training, and patience and kindness.

Is Betty right for you?

Betty is looking for a family who are going to show her nothing but kindness. She is come form a situation living with hundreds of other dogs and she isn't used to the outside world. Betty has been in a foster home for a short while and already made good progress but she still has a long way to go. She has bonded very closely with her carer but still sometimes struggles with being touched, so everything is on her terms. She is affectionate and likes to snuggle up, but it's never forced on her. Betty doesn't like being alone, understandable as she's never known a life without company, and likes to sleep upstairs close to her foster carer. She's doing very well getting into a toileting routine but you may have to excuse her when she gets home as she'll have to get used to another one. Betty also has walking on a lead to get used to, she's been doing little laps of the garden whilst she build her confidence with it. We think Betty might like having another dog to live with that can guide her in her new life but it would have to be a calm and steady one. Anything too rowdy just wouldn't suit Betty at all. This little dog has been through so much and she deserves to live as normal a life as possible at the heart of a loving family.
