Are you right for Mae?

Mae is a young Poodle cross with a sweet nature and a sheltered past. Having had little experience of everyday life, she is looking for an understanding home that can gently introduce her to the world at her own pace. A quieter residential or rural setting with minimal traffic would suit her best, as busy roads and bustling environments will feel overwhelming for now. Mae would love a secure garden of her own where she can safely explore, potter about and build confidence outdoors. She struggles when left alone and can become panicked and vocal, so she needs a household where someone is around for most of the day and where any time apart can be built up very gradually. She could happily live with another dog, as she is used to canine company and often settles well alongside them, and she could also live with sensible secondary school-aged children. Her new family will need patience and commitment to help her with toilet training, gentle lead work and positive grooming experiences, all introduced slowly and kindly.

Is Mae right for you?

Mae is an affectionate, playful and endearing companion who adores human attention. She greets people with enthusiasm, a waggy tail and happy body language, often bouncing up to say hello. She loves her toys and has a cheeky play style that only adds to her charm. With other dogs she can happily curl up and snooze, yet she is equally content watching the world go by from a safe spot by the window. She is generally relaxed with handling and thrives on gentle fuss and reassurance. For the right patient family, Mae will blossom into a loyal, loving and playful best friend who will reward your time and understanding with affection.
