Are you right for Rosa?

Rosa is a sensitive 2-year-old girl who is looking for a calm, adult-only home with patient adopters who understand that building trust takes time. She is shy and worried when meeting new people and feels conflicted around other dogs, so she will need gentle confidence-building and careful introductions. Rosa cannot live with cats, other dogs, small furries, or children. She has a medium energy level and enjoys exploring and sniffing when she feels safe, and may benefit from calm walking buddies in the future. Initially, Rosa cannot be left alone, and any time apart will need to be built up gradually as she settles. She can be vocal when left and may need reassurance, particularly at night. Her ideal home will be willing to keep her routine simple, predictable, and low-pressure while allowing her to progress at her own pace.

Is Rosa right for you?

Rosa is a sweet girl who found kennel life overwhelming and is now in foster care, where she is making steady progress. She took a few days to begin exploring her foster home, starting cautiously and building confidence little by little. She is now fully housetrained ( odd accident to be expected when she first goes home) and has begun to signal when she needs to go outside. While she has started quiet walks she will need to remain on lead in public due to being a flight risk, gradual introductions to the outside world are key. Rosa is showing lovely progress—she is approaching her foster carers for attention, beginning to take treats, and engaging in play, especially with balls and has even enjoyed some playful zoomies in the garden. With continued patience, understanding, and a steady routine, Rosa has the potential to grow into a confident and trusting loving companion.
