Are you right for Teddy?

Teddy is a very handsome 9 year old Saluki cross Greyhound looking for his new home. Initially shy with new people, Teddy gets confidence from having a doggy pal around and will need to live with another dog. Teddy is house trained and is a good traveller in the car, previously going on UK dog friendly holidays. Although a sensitive chap, he is an affectionate boy once he has had some time to get used to someone new, and enjoys his fusses. Walkies in low traffic areas are Teddy's favourite and he gets very excited when he sees his lead and harness come out, jumping around with joy. Although a larger dog, Teddy walks nicely on lead, although you may need to keep an eye out for small furries like squirrels or cats.

Is Teddy right for you?

A sensitive boy, Teddy will need patient adopters who are happy for him to settle in at his pace, along with a secure private garden to explore. Teddy is looking for a new home with a friendly canine companion, as this really helps to boost his confidence. Although he will need a dog friend in his new home, he is unfortunately unable to live with cats or other animals. A quiet home where any children are older teens will be the best match for Teddy. In his current home, Teddy is used to spending a few hours by himself, although we recommend building this time up gradually once Teddy has settled in to his new home. A very sweet boy, Teddy will be a wonderful, gentle companion for his new family. Please note: If you already have an open adoption application and are interested in knowing if Teddy is a match, please let us know you are interested in him by emailing us on shoreham.rehoming@dogstrust.org.uk.
