Are you right for Joseph?

Joseph can live with high school aged children and would really benefit from living with another Greyhound. He has come from a racing kennels and will need all of his basic training.

Is Joseph right for you?

Joseph has touched all of our hearts as he's such a nervous and worried chap. If he encounters something he is unsure about on his walk, the poor lad begins to panic. He is much happier in the company of his kennel mate and we think living with another Grey would do wonders for him, as he's much more relaxed with her and likes to be almost touching her as they walk along. Joseph has enjoyed group walks with the other lanky boys and girls in our care at the moment but he's rather worried by people and needs a family that will be patient with him as he begins to trust them. He has enjoyed a gentle fuss from his handler when he's been less vigilant, but he's not one for readily approaching people he doesn't know just yet. Something that tells us he has the potential to relax once settled in is his interest in toys! Joseph seems to get excited by balls and some other types of toy and this would be a great way for him to build confidence and worry less about what might be happening elsewhere. He's also happy to take treats from us when he's feeling more relaxed and we know he has the potential to bond well with people, this just isn't the best environment for Joseph to demonstrate that right now.
