Are you right for Anna?

If you are after a bright, bouncy German Shepherd who is always ready for her next adventure, Anna could be the perfect companion. At 4 years old, she has a curious, energetic nature and loves nothing more than exploring new spaces, taking in fresh scents and then settling down once she feels comfortable. A large, enclosed garden is essential for her as she will truly thrive with a safe space to zoom about and chase her treasured tennis ball. Anna enjoys getting out and about so a home that can offer medium to high levels of exercise will keep her at her happiest. She can be strong on lead when she is excited, although she tends to settle as the walk continues and she is relaxed around traffic. She also travels nicely on short journeys, making her a great little co-pilot for local outings. She can live with children aged 8 and above and younger children may be considered if they have a good understanding of dog body language and can respect her space. Anna absolutely loves meeting new people, takes treats ever so gently and happily leans in for a cuddle with those she trusts. She is also fond of a gentle brush and will happily soak up all the fuss. As Anna dislikes being left, she will need a home where someone is around most of the time. She is also currently not housetrained so her adopters must be ready to help her learn a routine using positive, patient guidance.

Is Anna right for you?

Playful, affectionate and utterly ball-obsessed, Anna is a wonderful match for someone who enjoys a lively pooch with plenty of personality. She LOVES to play fetch, relishes cuddles and blossoms when she has the chance to show off the tricks she knows, including Sit, Lie Down and Paw. She also really enjoys enrichment activities and will throw herself wholeheartedly into learning something new. Anna can live with another dog, though the match must be the right one. She enjoys dog company and can play beautifully, but she can also be over the top. For this reason, she will only be suited to living with a calm, confident dog of a similar size or larger. When she has a dog friend she connects with she absolutely lights up and loves sharing her walks with them. Her curious streak means she loves exploring fresh environments and happily settles once she has taken everything in. Whether she is leaning into you for affection, carrying her ball like a treasure or trotting alongside a trusted doggy pal, Anna brings warmth, enthusiasm and a huge amount of love.
