Are you right for Rip?

Rip would be better as the only dog due to his OTT behaviours but can walk with others. Any children at home would need to be older than 16 as he has snapped around food. Rip is house trained and knows some basic cues, and he needs a 6ft fence in the garden as he can jump.

Is Rip right for you?

Rip was born at the centre but has sadly been returned to our care. He's a big active lad who likes to run around off lead and he's looking for a family committed to putting in some reward based training with him. Rip hasn't had the most positive handling and can be wary about people touching his collar, so he likes a slow approach from us, making sure we can only set him up for success. He's a big pup still, not quite a year old and is full of energy and likes to have fun. Rip is very playful and likes fetch and tuggy games with his handlers. We make sure to give him space when eating and his adopters should do so at home too. Rip enjoys the company of other dogs but he is rather full on and has a heavy play style, so he's best suited as the only dog until he learns a little restraint. Learning some social cues from others and also being able to focus on his handler to contain his excitement will do him good. Being so young, Rip still has so much potential and just needs someone to put their faith in him and show him kindness and patience to get him on the right path.
