Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Tye is an affectionate boy once he knows you but does like to have his own space when settled so he would prefer a quiet home. He loves playing with toys and always picks one up when people enter his room. Tye loves going out on walks and exploring in quiet areas but can be unsure when returning to kennels. He enjoys car rides, is housetrained and knows some tricks. He is not keen on other dogs so wears a muzzle when out and would prefer quieter areas to walk.

Type of home needed

Tye has had a tough start in life which has led him to become quite panicky in certain situations, especially around handling. It is very important that Tye's new owners are patient and gentle with his handling. He can be quite reactive towards other dogs so he must be the only pet in the home, live in a low dog populated area with no neighbouring dogs and must be kept on a lead and muzzle in public. Due to his fearfulness around heavy handling, Tye must live in an adult only home and would prefer fewer visitors. He will need direct access to his own garden and his new home must have an abundance of toys for him to play with!

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Harefield Rehoming Centre in London.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
