We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

I am currently looking for my new family. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button. Applications will close once we have found a suitable match and the potential owners have spoken to our Training and Behavioural Advisors to discuss his training needs. Fidget's home must be within 45 minutes drive of the centre. Fidget is a four year old Terrier Cross. He has a zest for life and bounds of energy, so would suit a home who has had Terriers before and can keep up with his energy levels. Fidget is improving with his doggy socialising and will need to continue with this once in a home. Fidget will need to be the only pet in the home as he loves all the attention!

Type of home needed

Fidget will need lots of off lead exercise in a safe area, as if he is kept on lead continously, he will get frustrated. He is a good traveller in the car and he loves his toys and play fetch. Fidget is looking for an adult only home where he is given time and space to settle into a new environment. Fidget will need owners who have dealt with a dog with behaviour problems previously and will used postive reward based training methods.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Fidget, who is based at Bridgend (Wales). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
