Bella

Bella is looking for a calm and relaxed home with adopters who will take her on sniffy adventures, will play games with her and cuddle up for quiet snoozes on the sofa. She can live with secondary school aged children who are confident with large, bouncy dogs, children who will play with her nicely and will understand when she needs a break and give her space to relax and rest when needed. Bella likes all of the attention to herself so would like to be the only pet in the home, she could however have polite and friendly walking buddies. She has some training under her belt, she knows her name and does a lovely “sit”, “down” and “paw”, she is eager to engage in training especially if a tasty treat is on offer. She likes to potter and explore at their leisure so access to a private, secure garden is needed. Bella can settle nicely in the home as long she has some enrichment to keep her entertained, she could be left for up to 2-4 hours but this would need to be built up gradually after she has had time to settle into her new home. Bella will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Sweet and playful Bella is a 5 and a half year old Crossbreed who loves to have a bit of bouncy and bargy fun. She loves a game of fetch and will bring the ball back to throw again, her favourite toys are teddies and balls. Bella can be a little independent, she likes to be busy, exploring her surroundings and then will come over for a quick head scratch before heading back off on her important business. She is a foodie girl, and will accept any treat offered, she will take them gently from the hand. This sweet lass is on the hunt for her new home.

Choose a rehoming centre

If we’ve found a dog who seems right for you, we’ll invite you to come and meet them at the rehoming centre.

Some of the dogs in our care will need to meet potential owners several times to get to know one another. This lets us see you’re compatible and gives you the chance to build a bond before making a commitment to give them a new home. By taking some time at the beginning to make sure everyone’s comfortable, an adoption is more likely to be successful.

We may also arrange a home visit with you, to see how your house will be set up and check that the garden (if you have one) is secure. This may not be necessary, though, especially if you’ve adopted from us before. Where you already have dogs, we may accept a reference from your vet as an alternative.

If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.

We’ll support you to embark on a new life with your dog

When we’ve matched you with a dog, we’ll help you welcome them to your home. After adoption we’ll keep in touch to see how you and the dog are doing. If you need any advice or support, we’re just a phone call away.
