Are you right for Maloney?

Sweet and gentle chap Maloney is a 6 year old Border Collie who needs someone to show him the world isn’t such a scary place and will help bring him out of his shell to become the awesome and wonderful boy we know he is. Once he builds a bond with you he will reward you with kisses and the snuggliest of cuddles, leaning into you for more. He loves to chase and bound around after his toys, but isn't really sure what to do with them once he has caught them. Could you give Maloney the kind & loving home he deserves?

Is Maloney right for you?

Maloney has started his search for his forever home, and is looking for a kind and caring family who can gain his trust and help build his confidence. He would be best suited to a home with secondary school children and older who will give him time and space to settle in and get to know them on his terms. Whilst Maloney needs to be the only pet in the home so he can have all of the love and affection to himself, we would encourage him to have plenty of walking buddies to help show him the ropes and build his social skills when out and about. As a typical Collie, Maloney is a smart boy, however he currently has little training under his belt so far, he can be enticed to do some training in an environment where he feels comfortable with the help of a tasty treat and lots of praise. He would like a home with a private, secure garden to potter about in at his leisure. Malony settles nicely so could be left for 2-4 hours with some fun enrichment to keep him busy, providing this is built up gradually once he has settled into the home. Maloney will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to help with his transition into a home, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
