Are you right for Rocky?

Meet Rocky! This handsome 6-year-old Collie Cross Huntaway is full of character and on the lookout for his forever home. Rocky is a real people-lover and makes friends quickly – he’ll be your loyal companion in no time! He has a bouncy and enthusiastic nature, so he's best suited to an adult-only home. Although he’s a big fan of humans, Rocky prefers to have his own space when it comes to other dogs. He will need a home without any other dogs, cats or small furries. Rocky is housetrained and travels well in the boot of the car, making him a great companion for quiet countryside adventures. Rocky isn’t used to being left on his own, so any time left alone will need to be built up gradually – but with patience and consistency, he does settle after a short period.

Is Rocky right for you?

Rocky loves a fuss and will happily lean into you for some well-deserved scratches – he’s a real softie at heart who enjoys being close to his favourite people. He greets visitors very enthusiastically, he just can’t wait to say hello! Treats are a big hit with Rocky – cheese is his absolute favourite! Food can be a great way to bond with him and support his ongoing training. At bedtime, Rocky likes to sleep in the bedroom or nearby, enjoying the comfort of being close to his humans. When it comes to other dogs, Rocky can be nervous and prefers to keep his distance. He can walk past calmly, and offering him a tasty treat during these moments helps reassure him. Rocky enjoys quiet walks where he can take in the world at his own pace – he’s especially fond of having a good sniff around! He already knows a sit and, being a clever Collie Cross, would love the chance to learn more. Rocky will thrive with positive, reward-based training that keeps his brain engaged.
