Are you right for Skye?

Meet Skye, an 8-year-old Chihuahua looking for a home where she can feel safe and settled. She would thrive in an understanding, quiet household with adults only, where visitors are infrequent and people are around for most of the day. A multi-person home suits her well, provided everyone is happy to go at her pace and respect her sensitivities, and time alone will need to be very gradually introduced. Skye doesn’t need long or busy walks and would be happiest living in a peaceful area with minimal traffic, as loud noises and bustling environments can be overwhelming for her. She enjoys getting out and about in her own gentle way, likes being outside, and benefits from a predictable routine. Skye can be cautious towards other dogs when she’s out on walks, so she would be happiest as the only dog in the household. She will also need some practical support, such as help getting in and out of the car.

Is Skye right for you?

Skye is an incredibly loving, devoted little companion once she’s had time and feels comfortable around you. She is a sensitive soul who may be wary of strangers at first, but with patience and kindness, she settles into a sweet, affectionate dog who adores cuddles and closeness. Skye loves nothing more than curling up on your lap, resting against you for comfort, or sleeping beside you at night, content simply being near her people. She forms strong bonds and will happily follow you from room to room, making her the perfect sidekick. One of her endearing quirks is her love for her three special soft toys, which she carefully carries around. Skye may need someone willing to move at her speed, but in return she offers unwavering loyalty, constant companionship and a heart full of love.
