Are you right for Nyx?

Super clever girl Nyx is an 8 month old Malinois who loves to be busy and use her brain. She can be a little conflicted with touch to begin with, she will approach for a gentle fuss and will lean in for more, but can start to feel quite uncomfortable, so will need her family to read this and give her some space when needed. She enjoys a good play and bound around, she likes any toy that squeaks and will chase and retrieve them. Nyx is on the hunt for her new home.

Is Nyx right for you?

Nyx is looking for a calm home with minimal visitors, especially at the start. Active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures and provide her with fun and mentally stimulating enrichment to keep her clever brain busy. She is sweet girl, but takes a little time to get to know people, so could live with sixth form/college aged children who will give her time to settle in and get to know them at a pace she is comfortable with. Nyx can be quite full on with dogs to begin with, so is looking to be the only pet in the home so she can enjoy all of her adopter’s attention to herself, she would be happy to keep learning to socialise nicely with the help of some walking buddies. Nyx is a super clever girl and has loads of training already, she does a lovely “sit”, “down” and “touch”, to name a few. She loves to give her brain a workout, so is eager to engage in training with the help of a tasty treat or two. She is looking for a home with a private, secure garden with 6ft fencing minimum for her to potter about and explore in at her leisure. Nyx can be quite worried being left alone, so is looking for adopters home the majority of the time to begin with, she could be left for up to 1-2 hours, but this would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Nyx will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
