These sweet homeless puppies are on the lookout for more than a coffee house

Dogs Trust West Calder seeks new homes for ‘coffee’ puppies

If you are looking for something sweet, that will also give you a real boost, perhaps you might like a Mocha, Cappuccino, Macchiato, Espresso, Chai or Latte? Don’t be confused though because these are actually the names of the latest canine residents at Dogs Trust West Calder – and all of them are only eight weeks old.

The Rottweiler cross puppies have no need for caffeine though as they are full of energy and are on the lookout for their special someone to come forward and give them nurturing new homes. The litter consists of four males and two females, all with their own distinct little personalities; from shy and playful to outgoing and adventurous.

In a bid to find them suitable new homes, the team at the Bentyhead Rehoming Centre set up a photoshoot, inspired by hit US sitcom Friends to capture each puppies’ unique charm while they attended ‘Central Bark’ coffee house.

Susan Tonner, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust West Calder, said:

“The ‘coffee’ pups were named due to their lovely mix of colours. We have placed the puppies on our Home From Home Foster Scheme so they can get accustomed to being in a home environment, which has been working out really well.

“We need potential owners to come forward who have experience of owning large breeds because despite being puppies, these playful souls will grow up to become strong adults. It is important that anyone seeking to rehome one of these puppies is also prepared to spend time nurturing them to become well rounded dogs by properly socialising and training them, whilst giving them the care and attention they need.”

Dogs Trust’s Home From Home Foster Scheme was developed to give dog lovers who are not in a position to adopt on a permanent basis, the opportunity to experience the rewards of dog ownership on a temporary basis and help canine residents experience life in a home environment.
