COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

Little and large, black or brindle… we’ve got Staffies for everyone!

Staffy Dogs Billy, Lucy and Millie

West Calder Rehoming Centre is currently home to 10 super Staffies who are all on the lookout for their pawfect forever home.

With their fun, bubbly and lovable natures it’s easy to see why Staffordshire Bull Terriers were crowned the favourite dog breed of the British public earlier this year! And here at the West Calder Rehoming Centre, Staffies continue to be one of the most popular breeds to be rehomed. But there are still some adorable Staffies looking for a family of their own.

Staffies are well known for their playful, energetic and loving personalities and the Staffies living at the centre are certainly no exception! Whether you are looking for a young and bouncy pooch like Billy or a loyal and affectionate companion like Lucy – one of our super Staffies might just be your ideal companion.

Here are just a few of our Staffies looking to find a place to call home:

Billy the Staffy Billy is a 1 year old Staffie cross who loves to play – especially when it’s a game of tug! Billy is a very happy and smiley boy who adores being the centre of attention! Billy loves to say hi to everyone he meets, he really enjoys his training and he learns very quickly! Billy is looking for an adult only home with active new owners who can continue with his training and provide him with a calm and quiet space where he can relax. With his big smile and cheeky nature, Billy is sure to bring a lot of love and laughter to his future family!

Lucy the Staffy Lucy is a beautiful 5 year old Staffie. She absolutely adores being in the company of people! Lucy is always looking to make friends with everyone and she can never have too many cuddles! Lucy is an active girl who loves to explore on her walks and chase her favourite toys around the garden. Lucy is uncomfortable around other dogs and so she needs to be the only pet at home and walk in quiet areas away from other dogs. This bubbly girl would be happy living with children aged 12 years old and above and she will be a fun, lovable and cuddly addition to the family!

Millie the Staffy Millie is an 8 year old Staffie cross who will do anything for a tasty treat! Millie is a very sweet and friendly girl who loves getting cuddles and attention. Millie loves to set off for long walks where she can explore and investigate. Millie would love to have a garden of her own where she can soak up the sun and play with her toys – soft teddies are her favourite! Millie is looking for new owners who have experience with Staffies and she can live with children over the age of 16. In a home of her own, and one with plenty of foodie delights, Millie will thrive and provide endless love and fun!

If you think you can offer Billy, Lucy, Millie or any of the other super Staffies at the centre their dream home please get in touch with the West Calder team on 01506 873459.

The West Calder centre have also dedicated a day to Staffies everywhere - Staffielicious Saturday! It will take place on Saturday 21st September from 12pm to 4pm and anyone wishing to find out more about our Staffies or enquire about rehoming one is invited to come along and see if they could find a super Staffie best friend for life!

Don’t forget you can also follow Dogs Trust West Calder on Twitter @DT_WestCalder for regular updates on all the dogs available for rehoming.
