Adopt "Man's Best Friend" this Father's Day!
Dogs Trust West Calder share three adorable dogs searching for a home
What better way to celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday than opening up your home to a dog in need of a loving parent and family!
Our West Calder Rehoming Centre is open every day from 12pm to 4pm, except on Tuesdays, and this provides the pawfect chance to introduce your dad to a possible new family member or even see if you or a friend could become a doggy-dad for the first time!
The centre is currently home to many lovable pooches who are just waiting to become a part of their very own family. Here are just some of our adorable doggos searching for a home this Father’s Day:
Bertie is a 6-year-old crossbreed who is looking for a fun and playful home! Bertie loves nothing more than to play with his toys at any opportunity! He is an active boy who is always happy to go out for a good long walk. Bertie would love a garden to call his own where he can be at his most content running around and playing all sorts of games! Bertie is searching for an adult-only home with active owners who enjoy being out and about in the great outdoors as much as he does. His new owners will need to be understanding and patient while Bertie gets to know and trust them. Playing games and setting off for walks are a great way to Bertie’s heart and, once he trusts you, he is an incredibly loyal and loving member of the family!
Monty is a 5-year-old Lurcher and is looking to find his best friend! Monty is another bundle of fun and joy! He is an affectionate and friendly pooch who loves to get plenty of cuddles and tummy rubs and he’s always happy to say hi to new people. A lively pooch, Monty loves to play with his toys, especially his favourite squeaky ones, and he’s always happy to go out for walks, learn new tricks and engage in his training. As Monty is happiest when he’s with his loved ones, he can find it hard to be apart from them and so he needs his family to be home most of the day to keep him company. Monty has a lot of love to give and he wants nothing more than to become the perfect companion.
Rory is a 1-year-old crossbreed and he could make the perfect companion for an outdoorsy dad! Rory loves taking part in any sort of outdoor activity and some of his favourites are swimming, digging and investigating in the sand-pit and playing a game of football. Rory loves to play with his squeaky toys and would love to have his own garden where he can charge around and chase after his toys. Rory is an incredibly happy and enthusiastic boy with a real zest for life! He adores his family and will make a loving addition to the home. With his boundless joy and playful antics, Rory is sure to put a smile on your face!
