Homeless hound in need of a stroke of luck this 'Fur-iday' 13th
It's a well-known superstition that Friday 13th brings bad luck. But staff at Dogs Trust Loughborough are hoping that it will be a lucky day to find a loving home for one overlooked dog.
The Rehoming Centre is appealing to local people to open their homes and hearts to three-year-old Crossbreed, Jack, who originally arrived at the centre after his owner could no longer give him the long walks this active boy needs to be happy.
Now staff are hoping that really good luck will shine down on Jack on what many think is one of the unluckiest days of the year, and he will defy the odds to finally find the loving home he deserves.
Celine Di Crocco, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Loughborough, comments:
"Jack really does have his paws crossed in the hope that his special someone puts any superstitions to one side and visits the centre so he can book his place on their sofa!
"He is a fun, friendly boy who loves nothing more than getting out and about meeting other doggie friends. He needs a loving, understanding home where he can burn off some of his energy and keep his brain busy. That's what will make Jack a happy boy!"
Jack is longing for an adult only home but he could happily live with another four-legged friend.
"Jack is a sensitive soul but a real star and will be a loyal, loving boy when he has built a bond with his owners. We know that once he is in his new home his owners will definitely feel they are the lucky ones!"
