Adopt don’t shop this Black Friday

Rehoming appeal for black dog at Dogs Trust Loughborough

Staff at Dogs Trust Loughborough are hoping Black Friday (24 November) will inspire local dog lovers to swap shopping for adopting and give a black dog a new home.

Jacob, a two-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who arrived at Dogs Trust Loughborough in October due to a change in his family’s circumstances, is looking for his forever home, and he has got his paws crossed that this Black Friday will prove lucky for him.

Celine Di Crocco, Dogs Trust Loughborough Manager, said:

“As people traditionally hit the shops on Black Friday, we’re using it as the perfect opportunity to celebrate a wonderful black dog in our care and encourage people to adopt not shop.

“Jacob is such a super character. He is a little shy at first but very affectionate, and he really deserves to find a loving new home.  We thought if any day would be lucky for him, then surely it’s Black Friday. If you think you could give Jacob a happy home, please get in touch.”

Jacob is a charming, handsome boy who loves the company of people, and particularly enjoys spending time in the rehoming centre’s office where he enjoys giving staff lots of cuddles and having a little snooze.

Jacob is looking for an understanding family who will help build his confidence and who love getting out and about as he’s very active. He loves playing with his toys and would like an adult-only home with no other pets.

If you think you could be Jacob’s special someone, please call Dogs Trust Loughborough on 0300 303 0292 or visit the Rehoming Centre at Hill Farm, Wide Lane, Wymeswold, Leicestershire, LE12 6SE, open 12pm-7pm Monday–Wednesday and 12pm-4pm Friday–Sunday, (closed on Thursdays).
