Can you make it a ‘paw-fect’ Christmas for dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes?
Festive frolics are afoot at Dogs Trust Loughborough as the team deck the halls in preparation for its annual Christmas Fair.
The team are hoping that as in previous years, generous members of the public will help make the Fair a success by donating goodies such as wine and chocolates for their tombola and gifts for the doggie tombola too.
At least 100 dogs will spend Christmas Day at the centre and every penny raised at the Fair on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November will go towards looking after the dogs until they find their forever homes.
Hannah Graham, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Loughborough, said:
“A dog is for life, not just for Christmas but on the big day we will be looking after lots of dogs that for a variety of reasons have found themselves without a forever home this Christmas.
“Every penny raised makes sure we can give our dogs everything they need throughout the year, not just at Christmas, whilst they wait for their special someone to come along so all donations will be gratefully received!”
At the event, visitors and their canine companions will be able to have their picture taken with Santa Paws, there will be gift and craft stalls offering perfect Christmas presents and stocking fillers for four and two-legged friends, as well as a cake stall, charity stalls, games and festive refreshments. The event takes place between 11am and 3.30pm on both days.
If you are able to help, please send or drop off any donations to Dogs Trust Loughborough, Hill Farm, Wide Lane, Wymeswold, Leicestershire, LE12 6SE.
