John-Paul Maguire, Head Coach
Head Coach John-Paul Maguire has his CertHE from Bristol University in Companion Animal Welfare and Behavioural Rehabilitation, as well as gaining his accreditation with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).
John-Paul has worked for Dogs Trust since 2009, where he previously worked as a Canine Carer before taking a role as a Dogs Trust Trainer for the first prison-based dog training programme in the UK. John-Paul joined Dog School as a coach when the project began, before being promoted Head Coach. John-Paul has multiple pets at home including a 1 year old crossbreed named Scoop and a 14 year Toy Poodle named Cuddles both of which were rehomed from Dogs Trust.
Amy Craine, Head Coach
Amy had a passion for all sorts of animals from a young age, after volunteering with forest rangers, a vets and a dog rescue centre to gain some experience she achieved her dream of a career with animals. She worked as a Wildlife Rescue Officer before moving on to dog walking, daycare and training and was delighted to be offered a job with Dogs Trust in early 2020.
Amy is committed to using kind, force free training methods and regularly completes workshops, webinars and courses to keep her knowledge up to date. She lives with her very own rescue dog - an 8 year old Border Collie named Flynn.
Nathalie Fraser, Senior Coach
Nathalie has a degree in Modern Languages and an extensive background in customer service. Having had a lifelong passion for dogs growing up, she has devoted a lot of her spare time to furthering her own knowledge in behaviour as well as developing her practical skills.
Nathalie would love to have a dog but currently has 4 guinea pigs, a cat, 2 hamsters and 2 goldfish.
Jade Steven , Senior Coach
Jade has always had a passion for working with dogs and previously worked in a dog boarding kennels for 6 years before joining Dog School. During this time she also gained a masters degree in Animal Welfare, specialising in Canine Welfare and Behaviour. Jade has her own 4 year old Vizsla called Parker! She is very much looking forward to settling in her new role and meeting everybody and their dogs at classes!
Veronica Nicholson, Coach
From a young age Veronica has always had a passion for working with animals and has always been keen to take on new challenges, having volunteered at a city farm, stables and rescue shelters in both the UK and Thailand. After having studied Zoology, Veronica pursued this interest by becoming volunteer at West Calder Rehoming Centre, before moving on to helping out at Dog School Glasgow to further her knowledge.
