Turnbull & Asser
All About The Dog
They’re all about the dog at royal shirtmaker Turnbull & Asser. In fact, they’re so crazy about canines that the team came to visit us at Dogs Trust West London to gain some inspiration for their new project and to learn more about what we do.
Turnbull & Asser’s Head of Design Dean Gomilsek-Cole and Menswear Designer Shaun Gordon got tails wagging and lots of licks as they entertained our doggies at the rehoming centre. Hanging out in the sensory garden, Dean and Shaun made some fur-iends for life in gorgeous greyhounds, Armie and Beaky, as well as Mayo, a GSD X and Sir Wellington, a tiny Jack Russell puppy!
As well as having a fun day out with our canine residents, Dean and Shaun were looking for ins-paw-ration for their new gentleman’s bespoke pocket squares that will have a printed image of a dog on them; a reinvention of an idea from 85 years ago…
When Turnbull & Asser were searching through their rich archives, they discovered an advert dating back to 1931 which allowed their customers to have an image of their own dog hand-painted onto their pocket squares. Inspired by the advert, the designers at T&A decided to rekindle the idea, and this time with a benefit to our furry friends too!
These unique pocket squares can be personalised to have your own dog’s face printed on them, so you can carry them with you wherever you go, and whatsmore, 10% of profits come directly to help us care for our dogs!
