Are you right for Khol?

Khol is a loving older boy who has been making firm friends with both humans and dogs since arriving here. We don’t know if he’s ever been around children before and at 9 years old will likely not want the hustle and bustle of young kids in the house. Those of secondary school age would be fine though as he has been happy to greet all the new faces here. Khol is currently sharing his kennel and could live with another dog in his new home too. There is also potential for him to live with cats in a home that can introduce them slowly, keeping them separate to begin with. Khol is on some medication to help with a few aches and pains with his hind legs, which are lacking muscle mass. We’ll give full information to his family prior to adoption so do ask about him if you’re unsure.

Is Khol right for you?

Khol is a stunning Shepherd who is hoping that his fortunes are improving, after having been found as a stray. He hasn’t let this experience hold him back and has been an absolute gem while in our care. Understandably he found seeing the vet a little scarier but with a little bit of work from our team he’s been a good boy there too. We don’t really know much about what he’s experienced or whether he’s been in a home. Things like housetraining and car travel might be new to him, though he shows very positive signs with both so it shouldn’t take him long to master either. We think he’ll be ok being left for a couple of hours, though it always helps if this can be built up to start.
