Staff hope the new decade will bring a home for Eddie after his year long wait

After arriving at our Snetterton rehoming centre on 9th January 2019, Eddie the foxhound has been patiently waiting for his new home ever since. Eddie is a bright and energetic three-year-old foxhound, who loves to explore and sniff all day long.

Eddie is very clever and knows commands such as sit, lie down, spin, twist, bow, and roll over. He would love to continue learning new things, and his appetite for treats are sure to help him with some positive reward-based training.

He enjoys interesting long walks in rural locations, where he can investigate lots of different smells and run around to his heart’s content. Having access to a secure garden in his new home would be important to Eddie, as he loves to get plenty of exercise.

Dogs Trust Snetterton Rehoming Centre Manager, Diane McClelland-Taylor says:

“Eddie has made a few human and four legged friends here at the centre, he just prefers to do this in his own time. As he gets to know you, he will slowly open-up and show you his personality. Eddie can be vocal, as he uses the sound of his own voice to let everybody know he’s around. He will need time and space to settle into a new home and will be supported by our Behaviour Team during this process.”

Alice, Assistant Training and Behaviour Advisor at Dogs Trust Snetterton, has spent time with Eddie and has really got to know his personality. She says:

“Eddie is such a clever boy with so much potential, and we know that he can’t wait to meet his special someone. He needs compassionate adopters who understand him. In return, he will be a fun addition to the family. He really deserves to finally find his forever home.”

If you think you can give Eddie the home he so very much deserves, then please get in contact with our team at Dogs Trust Snetterton on 01953 666888.
