Our fantastic foster carers
We’re always on the lookout for more foster carers who would like to join our wonderful Home from Home scheme.

The fostering scheme was set up in 2016 and has provided a temporary haven for almost 200 dogs that were waiting to find a new forever home.
Without our foster carers we wouldn’t be able to help many of the dogs that we do, as the majority of these dogs would struggle in a kennel environment. We will get as much background information as possible on the dog from the previous home, in addition to our own assessments, so that we can place them in the right foster home.
Foster carers get all the benefits of having a dog in their lives, without any of the long term commitment or cost. It’s a win-win for everyone!
I volunteered to be a Foster Carer after my elderly dog died and I decided not to get another one. I was visiting Snetterton (as you do) when I saw a little elderly Miniature Dachshund curled up in her kennel. I had previously heard about fostering and my heart went out to this little old lady. To cut a long story short she became my first foster dog. She was deaf but so sweet. I had her for 2 weeks before she went to her forever home. After that I was hooked. I have had a number of dogs both medium and small and they have all been a joy. It is always a joy to come home and find a little dog thrilled to see you. I would happily recommend the role of Foster Carer to any dog person with a little time to spare. It really changes your life and is something very worthwhile.
