Could you lend your ‘suppawt’ at doggie fun day?
It’s the biggest fundraiser in the doggy calendar and Dogs Trust Snetterton is encouraging local people to join in the furry-fun and volunteer at its annual Fun Day on Sunday 12th May.
The event will take place at the rehoming centre on North End Road from 11.30am to 4pm and will include fun and games for all the family including the ever-popular Fun Dog Show which includes classes such as Best Biscuit Catcher, a Doggie Dash, games for everyone, a raffle and tombola.
The rehoming centre is looking for volunteers to take on various roles including setting up and staffing stalls, serving refreshments, selling raffle tickets and giving out prizes as well as looking after two and four-legged friends to make sure everyone has a great day.
Kate Brewster, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Snetterton and organiser of the event, says:
“Volunteers are extremely important to us as a charity and we couldn’t care for as many dogs as we do without their help throughout the year, and we need them to work alongside us at our Fun Day too.
“The day attracts thousands of visitors and last year we raised £9,990.26, all of which goes towards looking after the dogs in our care. Without volunteers the event couldn’t be as big as it is so we’re hoping lots of dog lovers come on board.”
