Dogs Trust

Welcome to the family!

Jessica Taylor-Balls has joined our team here at Snetterton as our new Volunteers coordinator! With Bea now on maternity leave, we wish you the best Bea! Jess has stepped in to take the big responsibility for our volunteers, they are a huge part to our centre and help us so much. From dog walking to cleaning the kennels we couldn’t do without them!

Jess has made a big career change, formally being a primary teacher she will now be working with four-legged friends!

What brought you to Dogs Trust?

I was looking for a change of career, while still being able to contribute something to others. At Dogs Trust I am able to help the dogs in our care and support them in finding their forever home.

The Dogs Trust mission is something I believe in and want to work towards with them.

Why this post?

I enjoy working with other people, which the role of Volunteer Coordinator fully allows me to do. I have also been a volunteer myself for the Duke of Edinburgh award, and have been doing this for the last 10 years. So I really understand the value that volunteers have and am eager to support them at Dogs Trust.

Have you got any dogs yourself?

I have always grown up with dogs in the family and really enjoy their company. I do have a dog of my own, Eddie. He is a small Jack Russell with a gigantic personality. He enjoys going camping and walking the mountains with me, although he does show a clear preference for the drier days.

What are you looking forward to the most in this roll?

I am really looking forward to getting to know the dogs at the centre, finding out about all of their personalities. I am also looking forward to working with such a great team, both staff and volunteers, and being a part of such an important cause.

Thank you so much and welcome to the team Jess!!
