Our Charity Shop - Attleborough
Hello and welcome back to another addition of the SRO blog. I'll be your ever-welcoming host, answering any questions you may have about today's subject, which is… our wonderful Charity Shop in Attleborough!
The shop was opened on the high street in December 2010. Run by a network of staff and volunteers, it is a very lovely place to visit and the ladies and gents who run everything make the shop look absolutely fantastic. It really doesn't remind me of a charity shop when I walk in there, more like a fancy boutique!
Their team of 25 volunteers, who work shift patterns, give up over 100 hours a week of their time to make sure the shop is in order, stock is organised and most importantly to give their customers the most enjoyable shopping experience whilst visiting.
You really will find such an array of different items here, all generously donated by members of the public. They are always on the lookout for more donations and volunteers, so if you think you can help in any way then please pop in and say hello, you couldn't meet a more delightful bunch of people. They also have a handy car park at the back of the shop for those of you wanting to stop by with a boot load of bits!
And at the end of the day, their hard work pays off and all the money raised goes towards helping to care for our canine residents. Did you know that last year alone, the Attleborough Charity Shop raised over £100,000 for Dogs Trust!? Such an incredible amount, and a true testament to the hard work of all the volunteers there.
You'll often find me there rummaging through the goodies, so hopefully I shall see you there soon!
