Name the puppy competition
Naming a puppy is always difficult, so why not make it into a competition! Our lucky winner is nine-year-old Amy Smith, who sent us a stunning drawing with the name ‘’Lucky’’ on it and showing loads of the things their future owner will need to ensure he has for a happy, healthy life!
At the moment we haven’t got any puppies, but as soon as we do Lucky will get a face to his or her name!
Our Education and Community Officer, Jo Goodman, kindly took Amy on a private tour of the centre as part of her prize, along with lots of Dogs Trust goodies.
Jo said: “Amy has created a fantastic poster and such a great choice of name too! It was a delight to welcome her to the rehoming centre. By helping young people learn about the responsibility and commitment involved in dog ownership we believe we can reduce the number of dogs that are mistreated and/or abandoned.”
Dogs Trust believes a dog is for life and to help families and their dogs have a happy life together offers free workshops at schools, community centres, libraries and any other suitable location for parents and children. To find out more or to book a workshop with Jo go to www.learnwithdogstrust.org.uk.
Thank you Amy for the drawing and wonderful name!
