Blue Monday indeed!

Last Friday (12th) was officially the start of maternity leave for the lovely Kate Brewster, without doubt the best SRO Snetterton has ever seen! Although I was terribly sad at the thought of saying goodbye to Kate (and the idea of managing a Fun Day all by myself, eek!) I find peace in the knowledge that she is getting to experience another incredibly exciting adventure in the form of baby number “Twoster”. I am sure that I speak for everyone when I say that Kate, we wish you the best of luck with your growing family and don’t be a stranger. We shall see you on the other side.

And so I am now officially full time as of today, Monday 15th January, AKA….BLUE MONDAY! I have to admit, I’m finding it a little tricky to keep the motivation levels high today; I think I very quickly have become used to being a lady of leisure! Who thought that working Monday-Friday, 9-5, would be so challenging?! Channelling my inner Dolly Parton will help me get back into the swing of things no doubt. But none the less, I only have to look at the gorgeous faces of the canine residents we look after to fully realise exactly why we do what we do.

Yes Christmas may be over, the bank account looking a little sparse, the weather gloomy and a bulge around the waist that we don’t recall being there, but that won’t stop me from letting you know about all the things we can look forward to in the upcoming year! #MondayMotivation

Our exciting fundraising events: Snetterton Fun Day will be taking place on Sunday 3rd June, 11:30am – 4:00pm. Things to also look out for will be our annual Christmas Fair (date to be confirmed) and a new event for this year, a charity dog walk (more details to follow!).

If you or someone you know would be interested in helping out at events like these (which can be anything from running a tombola stall to serving tea and cakes and everything in between) then please do get in touch, I would love to hear from you. They say that the best way to beat things like the January blues is to take up a new hobby, what better opportunity than this!

You can catch me on 01953 497912, or my email which is [email protected]

Thank you, and keep smiling J
