Golden oldie Maggie searches for new home

Maggie is a beautiful 10-year-old Shar Pei waiting at Dogs Trust Snetterton for her forever home.

Maggie came into our care through no fault of her own as her owner could no longer care for her. She doesn’t enjoy kennel life and is on the lookout for a quiet, stress-free forever home where she can relax and enjoy her retirement years.

Our lovely Maggie has recently had an operation on her eyelids, to help improve her vision, and is now recovered and more than ready to find her forever home!

Maggie’s pawfect home checklist:

  • Adult adopters who are hands off with her to begin with
  • A quiet home where she can relax and have company for most of the time
  • A secure garden to run about in and explore
  • Access to walks away from other dogs whilst she works on her social skills

Maggie is an independent lady who doesn’t enjoy a lot of fuss, but when she builds a bond with someone, she is happy to wander over to them for a little affection. She’s made friends with lots of our Canine Carers and will be a loyal companion to someone who takes the time to build a relationship with her.

At the age of 10, Maggie is still an active girl and enjoys going on gentle walks where she can sniff and explore. When she gets a burst of energy, she can be spotted doing little zoomies in the paddock or woods.

Maggie is beautiful inside and out and we have our fingers crossed that she won’t have to wait much longer for the home she deserves. If you think you can give Maggie the retirement home of her dreams, please email us at [email protected] and we can send you a Homefinding Questionnaire.
