Are you right for Leyla?

Big, bouncy fluffball of fun Leyla is a 4 and a half year old Turkish Kangal with so much love to give. She loves a fuss and will lean in for back scratches, she likes to sit beside you and watch the world go by whilst you stroke her. She enjoys playing and bouncing around with her human buddies, if toys are added to playtime she bounds around like a puppy, playbowing and pouncing. She especially likes balls and squeaky toys. Her favourite pastime is laying in the sun, this wonderful lass is looking for her new home now.

Is Leyla right for you?

Leyla is looking for a loving home with adopters who love big dogs and will take her on walking adventures and give her all the care and attention she deserves. She is a very friendly girl and can live with secondary school children who have experience with large and bouncy dogs and can play with her nicely and will give her space to rest when needed. Leyla would like all of her adopter's attention to herself so is looking to be the only pet in the home, she would prefer quiet walking areas where she can potter and explore in peace at her leisure. Leyla is a clever girl and has some training under her belt, she does a lovely “Sit”, "Down" and "Touch" when asked, she is eager to engage in training especially with the help of a tasty treat. She would like a private, secure garden she can potter around and play in. Leyla walks nicely on the lead, but can be strong when she sees something that interests her, she will need adopters who are able to handle this. Leyla can struggle to settle in the home, so will need adopters who are home the majority of the time, especially to begin with, any leaving time would need to be built up gradually once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a snooze! Leyla will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
