Are you right for Rosie?

Rosie is a sweet-natured 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who enjoys being around people and forming close bonds with her humans. She can be a little timid when first meeting new people or being handled, so she’ll need a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and space to build her confidence at her own pace. Once she feels comfortable, Rosie’s affectionate and playful personality really shines through—she loves giving kisses and enjoys spending time playing, whether that’s entertaining herself with her toys or engaging in a fun game of tug of war. She walks nicely on the lead and enjoys getting out and about, greeting other dogs politely before happily continuing on her way. Rosie is currently in Foster Care and therefore not available to view at the rehoming centre. Potential adopters are advised to favourite Rosie on their online application to signify their interest..

Is Rosie right for you?

Rosie would suit a calm home with secondary school-aged children who can respect her gentle nature and allow her to settle in gradually. She has previously lived with another dog and could do so again, but she would also be just as content as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the attention. Rosie is currently making good progress with her toilet training in foster, using pads and starting to signal when she needs to go outside, but her new family will need to continue this training consistently and build up any leaving time slowly. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion and are happy to support her ongoing development, Rosie could make a wonderful addition to your home.
