Are you right for Gizmo?

Gizmo is a cheerful and affectionate Shih Tzu cross who absolutely loves meeting new people and being the centre of attention. If you enjoy a dog who will happily greet you with excitement and soak up plenty of fuss, Gizmo could be a perfect match. He’s a confident little character around other dogs of all sizes, whether strolling nicely on lead or enjoying a playful run off lead, and he could happily share his home with a well-matched canine companion. Gizmo has a medium energy level, so he’ll appreciate regular walks and outdoor playtime, especially a game of fetch—his favourite pastime, and he’ll proudly return his ball for more! He’s settled well into kennel life, but as he wasn’t used to being left alone previously, any leaving time should be built up gradually.

Is Gizmo right for you?

Gizmo would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where his boundaries are understood and respected. While he is a loving and friendly boy, he can become a little grumpy if moved when he’s not comfortable, so he’ll need patient adopters who can read his signals and give him space when needed. In return, he’ll offer lots of companionship, affection, and fun. Gizmo is looking for a home where he can enjoy a relaxed environment, plenty of attention, and a consistent routine to help him feel secure. He does have a medical condition which can be discussed in detail with the Rehoming Team.
