Are you right for Olivia?

Olivia is a fun-loving, affectionate 6-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy who is full of curiosity and enjoys exploring the world around her. She loves interacting and playing with people, enjoys plenty of fuss and strokes, and once she gets to know you she’ll happily shower you with face licks to say hello. Olivia can initially be a little worried by new people and unfamiliar experiences, and she is nervous of loud noises, so she looks to her handler for reassurance and guidance. With gentle encouragement, food rewards and patience, she grows in confidence nicely. She walks really well alongside other dogs and has shown friendly interest in them, so she could potentially live with another dog following a successful mix at the centre.

Is Olivia right for you?

Olivia is looking for patient and understanding adopters who can help her continue building confidence while teaching her the basics of growing into a well-mannered young dog. She is still learning boundaries and impulse control, so ongoing positive training and calm guidance will be important. Olivia could live with secondary school-aged children who have experience around bouncy young dogs and who can give her space and reassurance when needed. Because she can be hesitant in new situations, potential adopters should be prepared to visit her a few times at the centre to build a bond and help her feel comfortable before going home. In return, Olivia will make a loving, playful and loyal companion with lots of personality and affection to give.
