Are you right for Kelly?

Kelly is a beautiful girl with all the love and exuberance that you’d expect from a one-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Being a high-energy young lady, she’s hopeful to find equally active adopters who have the time to put into her training, while providing her with the enriching lifestyle that she longs for. Always eager to make new friends, Kelly is friendly in her character but can be a little *too* enthusiastic at times and will benefit from being taught calmer greetings. She is best suited to living with older secondary-school aged children, who are confident around dogs of a more boisterous nature, and who could allow Kelly time to rest, as well as play. Although playful and friendly with her canine companions, Kelly needs to be the only pet at home. She would benefit from building on her social skills, as she can be OTT and not all dogs will appreciate this. Leaving Kelly alone at home is something that will need to be built up very gradually and only once she is fully settled into her new environment and a garden of her own is essential.

Is Kelly right for you?

Kelly is bound to make for a fun, engaging, and affectionate companion to her forever family. Kelly can become easily overwhelmed when experiencing new or busy situations and has plenty more to learn. However, her enthusiasm, bright brain, and love for tasty treats make her a dog with lots of potential! She’ll appreciate being kept entertained with fun dog-friendly enrichment, reward-based training, and long walks in exciting new places.
