Are you right for Dave?

Dave is on the search for his forever home! He would love a family who is looking to open their home to a high-energy, cheeky boy, and would be happy to help Dave along his journey of becoming more confident around new people and dogs. Dave would like his future adopters to be able to provide him with both long-term management and training to keep him safe, comfortable and confident. His ideal family will be happy to work alongside the behaviour team during his meetings and transition into his new home. Dave would love to live in a quiet, rural area where he can go on walks that he will be able to enjoy. His dream family will have little to no essential visitors to begin with, but have the confidence in following his intro plan in the future, so that Dave can make new friends. Dave would benefit from adopters who are quite dog-experienced. He would like his adopters to be open, learn, work with our team and take on their advice. He would like his adopters to be open to learning about how to help him carry on making progress. Dave could live with older secondary children 17+ who are dog-savvy. He would love his future home to have a garden that he can enjoy playing in.

Is Dave right for you?

Darling Dave is a sweet boy who loves to be around his favourite people. Forget personal space, Dave likes to be as close as possible and will quickly be climbing into your lap. Dave is a clever boy who knows sit, down, wait and stay, but would benefit from learning how to keep all four paws on the floor when he is excited. Dave loves a tasty treat, but can get a little excited when taking them. He likes investigating new places, getting his nose to the ground and checking in with his handlers for a quick fuss. Dave will make a great addition to his forever home!

When we find a match, we’ll invite you to meet them

If we’ve found a dog who seems right for you, we’ll invite you to come and meet them at the rehoming centre.

If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.
