Are you right for Gusty?

Gusty is a handsome, young Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a vibrant and energetic personality! Always eager to explore, he’s constantly on the lookout for his next adventure. Gusty can become frustrated when things don’t move at his pace, which may lead to some frantic behaviour. However, once he settles down, he’s calm and affectionate pup who enjoys nothing more than spending quality time with you. Gusty’s ideal home would be with an adult only family that can dedicate plenty of time to his training, particularly in helping him find appropriate ways to manage his energy. He’s still learning boundaries and can be quite excitable, especially when he's in a playful mood. While Gusty is sociable and enjoys meeting other dogs, his excitement can sometimes overwhelm more timid dogs. He tends to be a bit overzealous when making new friends, so calm introductions and guidance on appropriate doggy behaviour would be beneficial. He needs to be the only pet at home, and leaving him alone at home is something that will need to be built up very gradually.

Is Gusty right for you?

Gusty is a true joy to be around, and the staff who have worked with him have completely fallen in love. He’s a fun-loving dog who enjoys staying busy with a variety of activities, from solving food-based enrichment puzzles to playing tug with his human friends or going on scenic adventures. When he’s unsure, Gusty will look to his humans for reassurance, and showing him love and attention helps calm him down. He’s affectionate and will likely enjoy snuggling on the sofa with you. Though Gusty may not always know how to channel his energy appropriately, with the right guidance, we believe he’ll blossom into a wonderful companion. He’s a smart dog who loves to learn and training him will be a rewarding experience for both him and his new family!
