Are you right for Jackie?

Jackie is a bouncy, playful ray of sunshine here at the centre. Typical of her breed, she loves to play with toys, especially if they have a squeak! Jackie can live with children aged 16 or over who will understand to give her space when she needs it. When Jackie gets super excited, she sometimes can forget her manners and use her mouth when playing. Jackie would be fine to have doggy friends out and about and would benefit from this to continue building her confidence, but she would like to live as the only dog in her new home. She cannot live with cats and small furries. Whilst here at the centre, Jackie has shown us her superstar qualities and already knows a ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘paw’ and ‘touch’, loving to learn if a smelly treat is involved. She’s learning to wear her muzzle as she can find the vet a scary place. Our behaviour team will show you how to continue this with her to ensure she can wear it when you need her to visit the vets. To continue her training, including housetraining, she would require a private garden (with high fencing as she can be a bouncy girl!). Jackie is very worried being left alone, so is looking for an adopter who is home most of the time, especially to begin with. Once settled, there is a possibility she could be left for short periods, however, this would need to be built up once she is confident and secure in her new surroundings and family. Our behaviour team is always on hand to help with advice once it is felt she is ready to start being left. Jackie will need to meet her adopters' multiple times with the potential for home visits prior to being adopted so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Is Jackie right for you?

Meet Jackie, our 2-year-old Staffie x American Bulldog! This lovely girly would love to join you on your adventures in the outdoor, she loves to stick her nose to the ground and smell the flowers. If you're not out in the nature together, she would love to play with lots of toys (squeaky and ropes are her favourite) either with you or on her own. When getting fussed, she gets super excited and really loves a chin and cheek scratch! This gorgeous girly is looking for her fur-ever home.
