Are you right for Malteser?

Malteser is a handsome lad, who is still just a youngster at just over a year old. He's hoping to find adopters with a keen interest in training who can help him learn lots of new things and channel all his energy into something positive. Malteser has spent time in a home before where he was mostly housetrained, however he may need a refresher as he settles back into life in a home. His favourite thing in the world is toys and he'll play all day if you let him. He'd love nothing more than a garden all of his own where he can zoom, run and play till his hearts content. Malteser has been quite happy spending a few hours home alone, providing he has something to do to keep him occupied. We recommend this is gradually built back up once he's settled into his forever home. Malteser is a big lad, who can sometimes get a little overwhelmed and struggles making the best decisions. This can lead him to become mouthy when he's feeling over stimulated, so will need adopters who are confident in continuing his training to help him learn what is and isn't appropriate. Our team here at the centre will be on hand to guide you through his training. We think he would be best suited to an adult only home. We're currently still assessing Malteser's interactions with other dogs, so he'll need to be the only pet for now however this may change as we learn more about him.

Is Malteser right for you?

Malteser has so much potential and is really full of fun! He will thrive in a fun loving and active home that can provide him with suitable outlets for all his energy. He can sometimes be a little anxious when it comes to meeting new people, so would benefit from adopters that can commit to visiting him a few times here at the centre before he's ready to head off home.
