Are you right for Simba?

Simba is looking for an adult-only home with no visiting children, and owners who can match his energy and enthusiasm. He will need to be the only pet within the household, but could possibly enjoy some calm canine friends on leisurely lead walks in the future. He’s making great strides in learning to be calmer around other dogs and would really benefit from a secure garden where he can safely play off-lead and let loose! During his training sessions, Simba is a superstar—he loves to work hard for toys, treats, and a good butt scratch! However, he does find formal handling and vet visits a bit overwhelming. To ensure a positive experience, a gradual introduction and careful management during these visits will be important. During his time at the centre, Simba has blossomed and gained confidence each day. His ideal adopters will be those ready to support him in his ongoing training journey at home. Simba would thrive in a calm environment with a predictable routine, where he can settle in comfortably over time. Simba is currently on pain-related medication, and our team is more than happy to discuss this in detail with potential adopters.

Is Simba right for you?

Simba is a playful and affectionate five-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who cannot resist his toys or a good rough-and-tumble game. His absolute favourite pastimes, though, are exploring whilst out on walks and using his brain through training or enrichment. When it is time to wind down, Simba enjoys his food and is always up for a cuddle. Simba is housetrained, calm around traffic, and travels well in the car. He may need someone to be around for him whilst he is settling into his new home, but time should be able to be gradually built up once he is comfortable in his new environment. If you believe you can give this vibrant boy the forever home he deserves, we would love to hear from you.
